Use this page to give users access to the Record-A-Call feature.
To allow a user to access Record-A-Call:
Select Record-A-Call.
You can enable or disable Record-A-Call for multiple users at once by clicking the left-most cell in a row, and then dragging to select the check boxes in the Record-A-Call column. After making your selection, right-click to select (or clear) the check boxes.
NOTE: The number of simultaneous Record-A-Call sessions that MiVoice Business supports is twelve for the MXe III and EX, and eight for the CX II and CXi II variants. Keep this in mind when giving access to Record-A-Call, as the chances of encountering busy tone when trying to use the feature increases with the number of users that have access to it.
The following settings are automatically generated:
A mailbox is created for each user and numbered using the directory number (DN) entered for the Office or Teleworker phone. If both phones are assigned to a user, the Office Extension DN is used.
The mailbox name is created from the first and last name fields separated by a comma— for example, Doe,John.
The Mailbox Extension number is set to the Number field value.
The Passcode for all Embedded Voice Mail users is all ones. MiCollab Nupoint UM user passcodes are set to the user's DN.
The following settings apply to MiCollab Nupoint UM users only:
The Attendant Extension is left blank
Message Waiting #1 is set to DTMF-to-PBX
The Class of Service values are the application defaults— Feature: 1-UNLIMITED; Limits: 1 -Default
Users with Record-A-Call enabled are assigned COS 13 if they are not Unified Communicator Mobile users and COS 14 if they are.
NOTE: MiCollab Nupoint UM users are assigned a FCOS with Record-A-Call enabled regardless of the selection on this page.
